This is just amazing.

There was this guy who was an eccentric that loved his cars and he loved working on them for other people. He made a buck here or there and he purchased these cars thinking they might be worth something someday. Along the way, he had filled 21 forty foot tractor trailers full of cars, engines, parts, as you read. But like I said, the duffer was an eccentric and he would not let anybody know about this stuff. He even lined the trailers end to end so nobody could get into them .... even himself.

Well a couple of years ago, the old guy dies. He has no children. Nobody in the 'car world' knows about this stuff. There were a few people who knew the old guy that had suspicions that the contents in the trailers had to do with cars but had no idea as to the exact contacts. One of the people that knew the old guy fairly well, talked to his sister and made an offer to "buy the contents of the trailers". Supposedly there were four others that made offers as well but she selected the guy you are now reading about.

In the story, this guy was really surprised regarding the contents ... especially the rare musclecars and such. Also, he had over 150 big-block engines (Chevrolet) .... apparently back in the 70's when the gas crunch was big, there were many guys who had "this guy" pull their big block engines in favor of more fuel efficient small blocks. One of the things this new guy is trying to do is locate the cars these engines came out of to re-unite the two.

It's like a modern day pirate's buried treasure:

Yeah, by the end I could almost feel the hair on the back of my neck standing up. I still can't get over the fact that it's a diesel powered race car.
