Depends on which cell block they went into.

Which coridor are they in Jon? Can we see them if we're in the same coridor?

If you were in the same corridor you could definitely see each other. However, Bendox, The guard, and Rain are in corridor C, the farthest one to the right. Liox and Vivian are locking the other guards in a cell in corridor A, the farthest one to the left. Right now there is no way for you to see each other. The corridor's and the cells are similar to the ones in A New Hope, only longer corridors, with larger doors, and there are three of them.

Well, it is a ventilation grate, I wouldn't expect it to just "pop right off" but it won't take a ton of work either, especially if there are two of you working together.

so matt is going to attack the gard.. take his gun so while he is doing that we will try and get out.. I dont think they should see me.. they will be to busy fighting...

If you are just smelling it you will need to roll to recognise that it is gas.
Once you can see it you will know that it's gas, you just don't know which type.
If you start to feel the effects then you will basically know the purpose of the gas, and therefore what kind it might be.

Now that Liox and Vivian can see the gas they can be sure that it is the source of the smell.

Im attempting to use the security console to activate the ventilation system to vent the gas or something similar.
