well thats not going to happen because I don't even like linux

"You just screwed yourself!" ;)

I just organize. As long as my schtick works, you and Kal Bob can delegate all the technical stuff up any way the former sees fit.

How did that screw myself though

We each assign servers to configure and go from there.

On a side note I do have Quake 3 RA and normal servers configed already, SOF2, and battlefeild Servers.

Do the math. ;)

Kal Bob takes great pride in the fact that the majority of the servers powering the RNB are penguin-inside.

Well we all know I do have the know how and I do have the equipment.

If Bob and I joined sides and forget about the whole windows / linux stuff and just deligate tasks it will be a great Red Neck Beatdown.

More with less, though. Kal Bob could run a much larger number of servers with less hardware. Plus, he's prolly not gonna forget about the whole "Linux" thing. The RNB have never been hindered by know-how or equipment.........just time. Granted, 2 people could cut down on that time, but the "administrative" meetings could negate that saved time. Up to Kal Bob at a later date (as he's all ready specified).

Fair enough

But those servers are setup and will be running anyway.

Oooooooooooh..............the rogue servers on the network ;) Bad practice for Quakecon--they're not allowed (even switches/hubs are a no-go).

Remember, Bob does run the network. If at anytime he wants your servers off the network, it takes little to no effort to do so. Besides. Running those servers when there are already linux ones going is a little counter-productive dont you think?

As am I. Which is why the Smackdown point was kinda moot. ;)

I agree, so as Bob is the supreme Admin of the network, I do what he says and dont challenge his authority. It works out well in the end. Aspirations of greatness just leave you feeling sad and cheated. Get rid of them now while you still can. :D
