lol You were all wrong about what was wrong.
This is the dumbest thing i have ever herd of and i am very thankfull for the good people at the D-link tech support to help me out.
In the WAN option on the Router there is a box that say Service Name and its a optinal box to type stuff into. Now somone typd "Simpatico" in that box. With Simpatico if you type anyting in that box the router will not work. All i had to do is erase " simpatico" from that box and it worked.
Now that was easy. But i would have never figured it out
ty for all the help though.

Cost can be free
But if the product sucks I wouldn't take it.
Dlink always has problems so if you trying to say anything about performance then shut your hole because it's not working so how can it perform

all my in-use networking products are D-Link, and I have no problems with them

As an aside, some D-link routers need to have their firmware updated because they have a hole in them that allow hackers to easily access your comp...........which, incidentally, defeats the purpose of a router

Never really was overtly concerned to find out.
Besides, routers as hacker protection seem more of a placebo than anything else to me.
Try Slashdot (where I prolly heard about it) or your favourite meta-search.

just a quick note to tell you all that today I hooked up my router that has been on NorDel for a year to Rogers, and it picked up no problem. The Brand? D-Link DI-704
