If they did that, he'd be out of a job...

It's a great idea.... A permanent job through perpetual delays. And I never have to deal with the staring eyes and gaunt frame of DNF-addicted Mike.

Wow, How are they funding this and what in the name of all that is holy is taking so damned long?

I'm thinking that they took all the profits from Duke and have mortgaged everything that they own. The game will make or break them IMO.

recently heaped further doubt over the future of the title, currently standing at seven years in development and counting.
Seven Years seems like a long time but we have to remember that HL2 has been about 6 now in development. On the other hand I think that if it were any other game it would have been cancled years ago.

HL2 also didn't go through 3 game engines. Extremely high input cost.

Meh. I write like I speak. It's actually a common method to labelling the object after 3 and before 5.

Penny Arcade explains why the game is taking so long:

(Yeah, I realize it's an old one, but it's still funny today.........and I was reading through their archives and it just happened to be relative.........oh, bugger you, too).
