Mac's aren't all bad...

I have used them to "Bob Pukes". MAC OS X is a rip that's it, go use UNIX. I find nothing "sleek" about it. They are over priced, and now out-moded. I used to tolorate them due to there preformace in video editing, thus as a work comp. But now? why buy one Mac when you can get to i386 machines that out preform the later?

And as a personal note:
I would sooner switch totaly from Linux to Windows XP then support Mac'n'cap, and I think we all know my stance on XP!

Well, if you're gonna say that Mac OS X is just a rip off of Unix, I think Pimpin Matt has some ammo to sling back at you. Linux is also a "rip off" of Unix, but I'm under the impression that you like it (rightly so, I might add)

but dude i never said that i didnt like Linix i just like windows better, But yes i will agree that Linux is a rip of off unix hell it even uses it int the name.

But hay I agree with bob on one thing the reasion that i would not get a Mac is becsuse they are way to over priced and well just aint as good as they us to be.

I wasnt saying stability wasnt available on the i386 platform. Nor was I saying that Mac OS X wasnt a total rip of Unix. I am very aware that Mac os X uses a good chunk of Unix code. I was saying however, that regardless of your stance, there is no point arguing since Apple has shaped the PC industry as much as any other company and they arent just going to dissappear because we dont like them. Regardless of whether you like macs they do have benefits and drawbacks, just like every operating system. Yadda yadda drawbacks out-weigh the benefits yadda yadda you say. I dont really give a shit since you can find opposing arguments from either side. We as PC enthusiasts, even professionals if you will (most of us know a good chunk about PCs), have an advantage over Mac users. However, none of us are Mac Professionals so they win out in their ability to see the advantages and whatnot of Macs and miss the nuances of the PC. Regardless it doesnt really matter, since the iPod is still a good product, regardless of who made it.

Macs are cool, sure. The one at work has crashed, I've seen it. Once you learn anything it'll become sleek or user-friendly or what-have-you. Just that from the start I've put my money and mouth in one place, and I only have so much of each.
