Health care and governmental institutions. :)

I fail to see how this shows that nothing is free... Simply because one company seeks to make a profit without thinking first doesnt mean linux isnt free...

"they" are us. Linux is made for the people, by the people.

Technically, nobody's paying for anything yet..........except SCO and IBM for lawyers. None of here use IBM's AIX (?) Linux so, in that regard, no one else here would have to pay. SCO hasn't won yet. In fact, if you read the above posted links, their chances may not be quite as good as they're making them out to be.

Also, everybody's seems to get this messed up. Linux is NOT free. Many distros just happen to offer their OS at no cost (aside internet fees). Linux has always been about free speech, not free beer. BIG difference.

well i know that they havent won anything yet, But by my saying that nothing is free is, Linux is made and well someone is gona want something out of it so they sue. This is the world we live in. If you are trying to give something away for free on the large scale somone is gona want a peice of $ from it.

Hell you can Sue for pritty much anyting nowadays. Not saying that you would win but the fact stands that you could. If you a woman you also have a better chance of wining.

I apoligise for the misunderstanding of my comment of nothing is free, I never knew that the little comment would sture up all this contraversy

Well, I guess this settles it:

"Linux unaffected" across the board. Now we just need the judge to realize this.

SCO's proof scoffed at by Linus:

Love the conclusion at the end.

To make things more ridiculous....

SCO recently announced that they will be including Samba with their next operating system release...

Talk about hypochrisy!
