After a lot of thought and going back to the drawing board, I've settled on my ideal vehicle (with a few modifications).



Before you laugh me out of the room, here are my reasons...

1) High profile would allow easy travel through even the thickest hordes of infected... no getting caught up for a lack of pickup/momentum.

2) Easily serviceable with a little bit of reading (service manuals are readily available).

3) These things are pretty quick.

4) Not the easiest of access to the door due to big wheels.

So, I'd take off the spray tank and replace it with a rescue area for survivors (which would also serve as quarantine based on the incubation period). Next, I'd beef up the windows with some thick polycarbonate. Then I'd need a device that could puncture diesel fuel tanks safely to siphon fuel as needed (from the safety of the cab).

I assumed you would just put the survivors into the spray tanks, it might not be comfortable but atleast they would be well protected.

Well, I'd want it designed so that I could easily remove any individuals who may turn while in transit, and if that happens, the whole thing would have to be disinfected...

Why not develop a zombie decomposition spray and mow down the undead with impunity? Not as sexy as a shotty, but (potentially) highly effective.

hah well lets get some zombies together and run some tests, figure out the formula...
