I think that you should use something liquid that doesn't conduct electricity. Maybe WD-40 or some PCBs. That way, if it develops a leak, no problem.

I think that said "frontpage polls" no longer exist. The polls forum has become more of a repository of polls than a forum for discussion about polls.

Water doesn't conduct electricity. The ions and metal pieces in it do. That's why when you water cool, you use distilled water. Leaks are over-sensationalized, also. Often, the preventive methods of the motherboard and others will kill the system before damage is even possible. Heck, many of the earliest computers were water-cooled.

While the idea of using WD-40 for cooling is interesting, the fact that its combustible worries me. Heat up a combustible liquid in a valuable computer...

Actually, somebody was even thinking of using 50% Vodka as a coolant. It was in an evap. bong system. While super cool, the possible side effects convinced him to abort the plan.

Not to mention the incredibly high cost....
