So, did book ten finish the series?

If not, then why are they publishing prequils.

No, Ten didn't finish the series....
They're publishing this because its based off a short story and they need something to make money and satisfy the rabid fanbase in the time between his next book.

I see, sounds like a good idea, although I wonder how he has time to write this stuff while he is working on the next novel.

He probably didnt actually write much. It was based off a short story, which I read, so he most likely just fleshed out detail and added a bit more.

It's a whole novel now? Kinda cool I guess.

New Spring was complete by itself though, and amazing. I don't know how well it'd do as a novel. Might make it worse, filling space with unnecessaries. but hey, focusing on minor characters is nice, and I always loved the Borderlands.

I've been reading it and I must say, he's done a good job. He expanded on New Spring by going further back and focusing on Lan and Moiraine (Again) and the events that took place at that time... So far its good.

When I first saw this post I thought is was gonna be another irapass thing
When Steven Seagal kills a ninja, he only takes its hide. When Chuck Norris kills a ninja, he uses every part.

Chuck Norris and Mr. T walked into a bar. The bar was instantly destroyed, as that level of awesome cannot be contained in one building.

And I'd like to add that I need to find Robert Jordan's grave so I can pee on his tombstone. If he had done the Wheel of Time in five books instead of stretching them out to 12, I'd have some closure!

The only up side is that he walked a few people threw the end of the story and that the last book was 80% done. Because of that I do not think that it will be another dune.
