Posting Rules

I have made several tweaks that will be explained here. This will also cover Jedi force powers, that I will adjust to be closer to what is seen in the books. This will also hold the part about gameplay dynamics. Essentially I will say that it is in a similar format to IronFist's game.

Posting Rules

Post by Samurai »

I want to make sure that the game goes smoothly. To do that I am going to stick with the following posting rules.

1) During Scene play: I don't care what order you post in. All gamemaster characters will take their actions after all players have posted.

2) During Round Play: WE CAN DO THIS...
I will set the posting order by way of highest perception to lowest. If it proves too difficult to keep the game moving by using this method I will revise this rule to make it more convenient. Again, all GM characters will take action once the players have posted.

Please remember to list how many actions you are taking each round, and only post the first.

If you know that you can't post in order during a round (you will be away by the time it's your turn, etc.), but are able to post early on then send me your post as a Private Message, then go to the discussion forum and post "SKIP" so that the next person knows that they can go. I will attempt to post your move at the correct time, so that others can respond to your post, but you will not be able to respond to others that would have been before you.

OR WE CAN DO THIS...
Just throw out the posting order and let people post when they want, while still keeping the number of actions rule (in this case, only people with multiple actions can post during the second actions part of the round, but still in any order.)
(I like this method the best, because it's the easiest/most convenient)

3) Time between posts: This is the most important rule for posting.

I will post on day 1, and wait 3 days for all players to post (days 2,3,4). I will post the update on day 5. (If I post on Monday, I will post again on Friday, and again on Tuesday, then Saturday, etc. This method gives everyone at least 4 days in which to post. If a player hasn't posted by the deadline, then your character will continue his/her previous action, hesitate (in battle), Dodge (if someone is shooting at you), or do what I believe is appropriate under the circumstances.

If everyone posts before day 5, then I will post early. I will put a date for the next post at the end of every GM post.
Until you find something worth dying for, you're not really living.
